Welcome!
Welcome to my homework page! My name is Konstandinos "Kosta" Goumenidis and I attend the Art Institute of California - San Francisco. I started as a web student in the summer of 2009.
Before becoming a student at Ai, I worked as a photojournalist. I started out by joining the U.S. Navy as a Photographer's Mate in March of 2001. The days out to sea where VERY long but exiting. I got to travel around the world visiting ports like Portugal, Brazil, Hawaii, and even Italy and Greece.
My love for photojournalism did not stop there. After finishing my 5 year tour as a photographer in the military I became a news photojournalist at the Palo Alto Daily News covering stories, sporting events, and crime.
Now, while attending school, I still do freelance work photographing weddings, photographing personal projects, and covering major league sports. My work still shows up in the media and have been published in places like ESPN, Sports Illustrated, the San Jose Mercury News, and other major publications world wide!
With the demand of web based media, I decided to continue on with learning web design to be able to bring people mixed media via the web. So far I have enjoyed the school and look forward to getting deeper into building and coding websites.
